Dita Von Teese has said that she will not be another notch on the bedpost of comedian and infamous lothario Russell Brand, even though she did give him her phone number.

The gorgeous burlesque dancer revealed that she gave the wild-haired comic her contact details after meeting him at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles earlier this year, when he openly admitted that he fancied her.

However, she said she relied on her "good female intuition" to ignore his calls when he tried ringing her live on air.

And it's probably a good job that she did, since Russell notoriously left his Radio 2 show after making an inappropriate phone call to Andrew Sachs revealing that he had slept with his granddaughter.

Dita says that she knows exactly how to deal with blokes like Russell, but admitted that she does have a soft spot for him and that she found it funny when he played the answer phone messages he had left her, in which he begged for a date, live on his show.

Dita explained: "Just because I gave him my phone number doesn't mean I'll be going on a date with him.

"I had another conversation with him on the air shortly before he left his radio show, and he is a lot of fun. I like him. But I can totally handle guys like that."
