It's probably not most girls' ideal way of meeting men, but Jessica Simpson apparently relies on her dad to point her in the direction of cute guys.

The Dukes of Hazzard star's 49-year-old father recently managed to snare his gorgeous 27-year old daughter a date.

At the Rolling Stone magazine party in Las Vegas last week, Jessica's dad Joe, who acts as his daughter's manager, obviously took it upon himself to manage her love-life as well.

A partygoer told Us Weekly magazine: "Joe was chatting to a handsome guy and told him Jessica was single.

"He gave the hunk his assistant's number and said he'd set him up with her."

Jessica was previously married to Nick Lachey, with whom she starred in the MTV series Newlyweds.

Since their divorce in 2006, Jessica has been linked to US musician John Mayer and comedian Dane Cook
