An increasing number of people are using mobile phone texting as a seduction tool, one expert has said.

Relationship expert Regina Lynn has said that texting is especially handy if you are shy because it allows you to sidestep the awkwardness of having a conversation face to face or over the phone.

Moreover, it can begin fairly soon after you meet someone and exchange phone numbers, she said.

Regina said: "SMSing is a great, discreet seduction tool, especially for anyone who likes being playful with words.

She advises people to flirt with care and start off gently, as you don't want to come across as being too heavy at first.

"As soon as you have the numbers it can start. Nudge it along gently and take your time," she said.
