Gemma Atkinson, the 22-year-old stunner who plays Lisa Hunter in Hollyoaks says she's tired of dating guys who can't get over the fact that she is in a hit soap.

Some guys are just plain obsessed with Hollyoaks and think they're dating Lisa when she wants them to realise that she's just Gemma.

She gave Maxim some tips for guys who might want to date her ? don't mention the soap.

Gemma told the magazine: "The men I pick normally turn out to be either weird or already involved with someone. The weird ones like Hollyoaks too much! They introduce you to their mates as 'This is Gemma, she plays Lisa in Hollyoaks. And you think, 'Whoa, bit of a freak'."

She added: "They always ask about Hollyoaks, I've had some real idiots. The first thing they ask is, 'How much do you get paid?' You just walk away. Some men don't dare come over."

The actress said all a guy needs to do to impress her is have the confidence to come up to her and offer to buy her a drink, with no mention of her job.
