A survey conducted by Triple Velvet found that 77 per cent of girls think a guy who isn't afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve and show his emotions is extremely attractive.

It also seems British girls are really holding their careers in high regard, as a further 55 per cent said they would consider dating a guy who wanted to be a house husband.

Although we might love a tough guy on the outside, a man who's soft on the inside is just what we're looking for, according to the research.

Martin Correy, the captain of England's rugby team, is an example of one of those big softies.

He said: "Eve, my lovely two-year-old daughter, never fails to bring out my softer side with her girlish charms and cheeky smile."
