'Looks more important than money'
Young British daters are more interested in what a potential date looks like than how much money they have, new research has revealed.
The responses of the 19 to 21-year-olds to the dating website survey differed vastly from older Britons.
The study undertaken by Loopylove.com found that, for 100 per cent of the 43-year-olds questioned, looks were not an issue at all in the veteran dating game.
According to the survey, 95 per cent of girls are looking for a man who is more educated than them, while luckily 80 per cent of guys want a girl who is less well educated.
Somewhat surprisingly, 63 per cent of men responding to the survey said they would be happy to stay at home while their other half went out to earn the money.
But it seems that women are not likely to put up with this, with just six per cent saying they would be ready to take care of both themselves and their partner financially.
Head of marketing at Loopylove.com, Shimrit Elisar, said: "With high profile women like Demi Moore and Cameron Diaz dating and marrying younger guys, it's not wonder that men aspire to have an attractive, rich, older woman.
"The taboo has been broken and we've seen this trend spreading from celebs to members of LoopyLove.com and the British public."
