Treat him mean ? it'll get him past the third date
Forget first date nerves, the third date nerves are what you should be worrying about, according to a dating expert.
Apparently, as much as it might seem that a guy likes you on the first two dates, it's the third date that is the cruncher. It seems that a lot of men just can't get past it.
Despite all the texts he sends, compliments he gives and sweet nothings he whispers during the first two dates, all can change after the third date and you can find yourself bewildered, dumped and single yet again.
But why is this? How can he show all the enthusiasm in the world and then ditch you after date three?
According to Sam Delaney, it's all because men love dating. Writing in Company magazine, he said: "Blokes don't stop to think about how much they like you; they just think about how much they like the feeling of dating you.
"And, once we get past the third date, it stops feeling like proper dating. It just feels like a, y'know, relationship." And that's what sends them running.
But if he's worth it, there is something you can do to keep him from scarpering ? and that's treat him mean, according to Sam.
He said: "Remember: the male ego is a delicate and dangerous thing. Stroke it too much and it will quickly inflate to the size of Godzilla and start destroying everything."
So, make sure you ignore a few of his texts, accidentally-on-purpose fail to return his phone calls and forget his name occasionally. That'll keep him. Complete this form to search for your perfect guy or girl!
