Books are tools to bag you Mr Right
Lots of women spend weeks looking for the perfect bikini to wear on the beach on holiday because they think that one that shows off their assets will bag them their dream romance.
However, a new survey has revealed that the time might be better spent trawling through the bookshops looking for a perfect holiday read to act as the perfect accessory on the beach.
Why? Because the survey conducted by YouGov reveals that the book you read can determine whether or not you pull.
Apparently, the book you're reading can be a way in for a guy to flirt with you ? especially if he's already read the book. It gives him that added confidence to go up and talk to you and hopefully eventually ask you on a date.
But you need to be careful which book you choose, as while an erotic paperback might seem saucy and enticing, it's a total turn-off for the guys, according to the survey.
Instead, opt for an Emily Bronte novel or a Charles Dickens book. The study revealed that 900,000 men would ask someone out who they had never met based on the book they were reading, while 30 million would give a wink or a smile if they saw an attractive person reading a book they like.
According to relationship expert Dr Angela Rowe, it's a good way to judge a potential date. She told website Life Style Extra: "I think it's quite a good idea to choose a partner based on what they are reading.
"Initial attraction between two people only lasts a certain amount of time before similarities and common interests between two people dictate the success of a relationship, so reading seems a very good gauge of somebody's character."
