Hayfever sufferers need somebody to snog
As the summer months approach, many Brits are getting ready for a period of sniffing, sneezing and itchy eyes.
However, new scientific research has shown a far more enjoyable way of reducing the suffering brought on by hayfever than the usual antihistamine.
Apparently, snogging is a great way of helping hayfever.
This is according to research conducted by a team at Satou Hospital in Japan.
They tested 24 male and females with hayfever and discovered that a passionate 30-minute kiss with a partner is the perfect way of reducing the allergy.
And it's all scientific ? apparently the number of antibodies which fight allergen in the body falls during passionate kissing, where as it didn't when the couples were just hugging.
Dr Hajime Kimatsa, lead researcher of the study, said: "These results indicate for the first time that kissing may alleviate allergic responses."
