Single girls know all too well the loneliness that being a singleton imposes on you.

Despite being happily married, actress Alyson Hannigan, star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and American Pie, empathises with the frustration of being single.

"Until you find it, you're always pining for the 'Where's my one? Where's my one true love?'", the redhead said.

She added: "It was easy to know that feeling. You know, I didn't meet [husband Alexis Denisof] when I was born. I had some years without him, looking for him."

But even though it might have seemed like it would never happen, the pair are now blissfully in love.
