Lost star Josh Holloway has been voted the "hottest hunk" in Hollywood and apparently it's because he's the perfect gentleman.

He may be hard and guarded when playing his character Sawyer in hit TV show Lost, but off screen he knows how to treat a girl like a princess.

Co-star Evangeline Lilly told MSNBC she's not surprised at the female attention he's getting.

She said: "He's the guy who opens doors, carries bags for women and makes sure they feel protected.

"They're very endearing qualities."

Josh topped the poll in America's In Touch Weekly magazine, beating co-star and on screen rival Matthew Fox who plays Jack in the show.
