Lying dates try to show off cooking skills
Young Brits are lying to their potential dates when they make meals for them, according to a new survey.
Almost a third of loved-up youngsters have passed off a meal that they bought as their own creations in order to impress a guy or girl.
This is according to a survey by the Department of Health, which found that girls were the worst offenders.
Around seven per cent of the 1,000 16 to 24-year-olds questioned said they often claim the credit for food they have purchased from the supermarket.
The survey also found that girls are more impressed with a man's cooking skills than they are with whether he's driving a Mercedes or a Mini Cooper.
However, the situation looks bleak for guys since the research found that one in ten have never cooked a proper meal in their lives because they "don?t know how".
