A Barnstaple mum has sought the help of a newspaper to find her daughter, Sabina, the guy of her dreams, the BBC reports.

Sabina's mum launched an appeal in local newspaper, the North Devon Journal, asking potential dates to submit a 500-word essay on why they should be given the fantastic opportunity of dating her daughter.

Model looks are not the only thing that Sabina's looking for. She wants a good guy with whom she can chat and have great times with. But her mum adds: "Brad Pitt look-alikes will not be rejected out of hand."

The editor of the newspaper agrees that mothers are a great means for a girl to get a guy. "She knows her daughter best and Sabina is happy for her mum to be involved," he told the BBC.
