Successful dating all in the location
Choosing the right setting for the all-important first date could mean the difference between long-lasting love and a short-lived disaster.
If you've chosen the wrong location then no matter how well-applied your make-up is or how you chat to him and put those flirting tips into practice, you might not get the chance to wow him.
"When your choice of location doesn't fit the company, you end up overwhelmed by embarrassment, struggling for air like a landed fish, desperate to find something in common besides the films and legs," says Toby Moore, writing for Cosmopolitan magazine.
Toby's learnt first-hand that the wrong location can be disastrous for a first date. He once took a goth girl to a posh bar for their first date, which lasted a total of 30 minutes.
So try your best to pick the right place to meet, which means finding out as much about him as you can. What does he like? What does he dislike? What does he like to eat? Where does he like to go?
Be careful not to overwhelm him with questions though. No-one likes a stalker.
