First flirtations to find a fella
First impressions could make or break a potential relationship, romance columnist E Jean Carroll believes.
The Elle writer says that a guy makes up his mind about a girl within the first 30 seconds of meeting her.
And this is confirmed by Harvard professor Dr Frank Bernieri, a leading expert on the subject.
He says that a guy gets "absolutely anchored" by the first sight of a girl, and that after the initial meeting he will look for confirmations that his first instincts were spot-on.
"When a guy sees an attractive woman, he wants to find her interesting. He wants to discover she's intelligent," Dr Bernieri explains.
The right attitude is one of the cornerstones of bagging the man of your dreams, Ms Carroll claims.
Attitude and confidence go hand in hand, and the author of Mr Right, Right Now! says a girl can't go wrong if she remembers that she is born to drive men wild.
Ms Carroll explains that girls are "fitted-out by nature to find and seduce a chap".
And mentioning the "extravagant lengths" men go to control attractions (think chastity belts and veils), she simply states that girls need to remember and believe that they are "unbelievably, incredibly hot".
