Star-struck in cyberspace
We never believe beautiful celebrities when they try to convince us they're "just like the girl next door", or "still Jenny from the block".
But now that more celebrities are coming out saying they don't have men lining up to date them and that they even try online dating to meet guys, we have more faith in their claims to ordinariness.
In the American Pie trilogy the character of Jason Biggs stays in contact with his exchange student crush Nadia via webcam, and off-screen Jason admits that he enjoys chatting online.
Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo and Oscar winner Halle Berry both admitted in interviews that they chat online without revealing their true identity.
These revelations sparked many a fantasy in the minds of those chatting online: "What if the person I am talking to is actually a Hollywood hottie?"
An online poll asked nearly 3,000 online chatters who the superstar is that they would most like to click with online. Orlando Bloom is the Hollywood hunk most wanted to log on, followed closely by John Cusack and Matt Damon.
Wedding Crashers co-stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson also made the list, as well as Kirsten Dunst's on-off beau Jake Gyllenhall and That Seventies Show's Topher Grace.
And with Matt Damon telling fellow celebrities that steering clear of dating other celebrities is the way to happiness, they might go looking for happiness in love online!
