To kiss, or not to kiss?
While being a great way to meet new people, online chatting unfortunately does not necessarily make it easier once you decide to date a guy out in the real world.
One of the most common, and debatable, problems faced by all girls when deciding to date a boy is whether or not it is a good idea to kiss on the first date, and what he'll think of us if we do or don't.
In our desire to impress, it sometimes seems that whatever we choose to do will end up leaving us even more paranoid that the impression we gave was somehow wrong: "Does he think I'm easy/prudish/too shy/too forward", the list of potential crazy concerns a date can inspire is endless.
Jennifer Lopez believes in making him wait, according to her: "If you kiss on the first date and it's not right, then there will be no second date. Sometimes it's better to hold out and not kiss for a long time. I am a strong believer in kissing being very intimate, and the minute you kiss, the floodgates open for everything else."
Ah, what a romantic notion! But let's be realistic for as minute. If the date has gone well, and the vibe seems to be mutual interest then what's the big deal?
On the other hand, we should never feel like we have to because that's what's expected. Meeting up with an online chat partner should be an easy way to get to know someone better, and if you don't like what you see that much there should be no obligation to lock lips at the front door.
A little romantic clinch at the end of an enjoyable evening can be the perfect way to finish the night off. Put simply, if you make sure do whatever you feel is right at the time, how can it be wrong?!
