Tinseltown twosomes "bad example"
We all look to sassy celebrities for fashion and beauty tips, but we've all seen their red carpet fashion flops enough to know they don't always make the best choices.
The same goes for their relationship behaviour. We have witnessed the breakdown of so many Hollywood couples that we have to realise modelling our dating lives on what celebrities do, is not always a good idea.
Relationship expert Carol Godham warns against behaving like "serial monogamists" like Julia Roberts or Jennifer Lopez that seem to jump from one relationship to another.
Being in a relationship for the sake of being someone's girlfriend is never a good idea.
"The key is learning how to satisfy your own needs," Ms Godham says.
If a guy is not treating you right, kick him to the kerb. Too many girls make excuses for the bad behaviour of their boyfriends and keep forgiving them and taking them back.
Pamela Anderson took back Tommy Lee despite accusing him of spousal abuse. According to reports she is now set to marry him for the third time.
According to Ms Godham Sienna Miller is a great example of a celebrity who sets a good standard for the public.
When her fiance Jude Law admitted he cheated on her, she took a stand against his bad behaviour. She refused to play the victim, and was seen out and about with friends and without her engagement ring.
"Honestly and integrity are the key to a successful relationship, this includes the ability to be honest with yourself," explains Ms Godham.
"Many people opt for bad relationships instead of being single, however this will only cause more relationship problems and unhappiness."
