Kissing frogs
They say you have to kiss many frogs before meeting your prince, so it is safe to assume that we will spend a fair amount of time smooching a variety of frogs.
But if kissing frogs isn't your thing, you could apply a few strategies to keep your lips - and your heart - protected from frogs, dogs and the like.
Drew Barrymore is a big fan of lip locking. She says: Kissing - and I mean like, yummy, smacking kissing - is the most delicious, most beautiful and passionate thing that two people can do, bar none."
Unless the other person is a frog, which is why Paris Hilton (before she was engaged) postponed the first kiss for as long as she could.
Paris says having one date with someone is not enough to tell whether you are compatible or not. She also realises that this strategy might pay off in the long run: "It's better to make guys want you," she says.
J-Lo agrees with her: "If you kiss on the first date and it's not right, then there will be no second date."
